Who we are
Texas Living Health Care is a licensed Home and Community Support Services Agency providing Personal Assistance Services across Texas.
We are non-medical by design. We do not replace doctors, nurses, or clinical care. What we do is the work that makes ordinary life possible: bathing, dressing, grooming, meal preparation, mobility, light housekeeping, and companionship. The daily things that determine whether a person can stay in the home they know, or has to leave it.
What we believe
Home is not a location. It is a life a person built.
When someone loses the ability to manage alone, what is at risk is not just their safety. It is their routine, their privacy, their sense of being the author of their own day. Everything we do is arranged around protecting that.
Care is a relationship, not a service delivery.
The gap between adequate care and genuinely good care is almost never technical. It is whether the person providing it sees a human being or a schedule. We recruit and train on that basis, and it is the standard we hold our caregivers to.
Dignity is not the extra. It is the whole thing
Being cared for is an exposed position. People are helped with things they once did privately, and the way that help is given determines whether they feel supported or diminished. We take that seriously as a matter of practice, not sentiment.
How we work
We listen before we plan. Every client is assessed individually, and their service plan is built around how they live, not around a standard package. People have preferences, histories, and routines that matter. We ask about them.
We are consistent. Wherever possible, clients see the same caregivers. Continuity is not a luxury in this work. Trust takes time to build, and rebuilding it repeatedly with new faces is exhausting for the person receiving care.
We are honest with families. Families making care decisions are often frightened, guilty, and short of information. We tell them plainly what we can do, what we cannot, and what we observe. No overselling.
We watch closely. Our caregivers are trained to notice change. A shift in appetite, mood, mobility, or memory is information, and information given early to a family or physician can prevent a crisis. Being in someone’s home several times a week makes us the first to see it.
We serve everyone. We do not screen by background, belief, income source, or family situation. If a person needs care and we can provide it safely and well, we will.
Our name
Living is the point.
Not managed or maintained. Not merely kept safe. Living with a day that still belongs to the person having it, in a home that still feels like theirs. That is what we are here to protect, and it is why we do this work.
